Fixed Wireless Broadband Expanded to 1400 Homes in Belfast, Maine

Belfast & Bayside Cord Cutters Have Affordable Internet Service Option with True Broadband Speeds and Unlimited Data without Cable or Phone Lines

May 15, 2019 Redzone Wireless, LLC, a Maine-based broadband innovation company, announces new fixed wireless broadband services to over 1400 business & residential locations in the Towns of Belfast and Bayside.

Redzone’s total Maine coverage now exceeds 275,000 households – representing more than 45% of all Maine homes.  The new fixed wireless broadband network operates on FCC licensed 2.5 GHz wireless spectrum, and is considered one of the largest FCC licensed fixed wireless broadband deployments in the US.

The expansion area was selected based hundreds of services requests received from residents and businesses in the Belfast area.  The Belfast/Bayside broadband expansion was privately funded, and is part of Redzone’s previously announced 2019 26-site Maine network expansion.

“Redzone Wireless remains on the forefront of wireless broadband innovation, leveraging regional fiber networks to extend broadband to more underserved areas,” said Jim McKenna, President of Redzone Wireless. “Our network is taking real broadband further in Maine, and we are proud to add Belfast & Bayside to the growing list of Redzone connected communities.”

Redzone offers a range of broadband plans and price options – including the most popular among Maine cord cutters providing FCC recommended 25 Mbps download speeds for $49 per month, with no contracts or installation fees, and an introductory rate of $5 for the first month.  Complete service information is available at

“The digital divide is crippling economic development in many parts of Maine,” said Michael Forcillo, Redzone Executive Vice President. “Whether the application is working from home, streaming video & live TV, online education, gaming or simply doing your homework, Maine families need access to affordable broadband now. Redzone’s hybrid wireless & fiber technology approach is solving Maine’s broadband problem more quickly and at a lower cost than any current alternative technology.”

Redzone Wireless, LLC began offering broadband services in 2015, and now provides affordable high speed Internet access to over 275,000 Maine households across more than 75 communities.
