Redzone Wireless, LLC Announces Maine Broadband Network Expansion in Augusta

Company Expands 4G LTE Advanced Broadband Coverage and Service Availability to Over 6,500 New Households.

November 13, 2015 – Camden, Maine.  Redzone Wireless, LLC, a Maine-based wireless Internet service provider (WISP), has significantly expanded its powerful 4G LTE Advanced wireless broadband network with the activation of coverage in the greater Augusta area. 

The expanded high speed Internet service in Augusta was privately funded by Redzone, and is now in full commercial operation.  Today’s network launch follows Redzone’s October announcement that network coverage had exceeded 115,000 Maine households.

“Redzone has reached another important milestone by providing 4G LTE Advanced broadband network coverage to Maine’s capital city.  “We are very proud to bring the world’s most advanced wireless broadband technology to the Augusta community,” said Jim McKenna, Redzone Wireless, LLC President. “Our state capital now has better broadband technology infrastructure to drive economic growth and development,” explained McKenna.

The company held a press conference outside the State Capitol on November 12 at 10am.  Redzone management was joined by municipal and business leaders to mark the network launch with a formal announcement & ribbon cutting.
